At Whispered, your privacy matters. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect your personal data — including information you share with Sage, our AI career guide.

Information We Collect
1. Account information: Name, email, Google authentication, and LinkedIn profile.
2. Membership details: Plan type, payments processed through Stripe, and membership preferences.
3. Content you share: This includes anything you provide through:
- The Whispered platform
- Community channels
- Sage (AI assistant)
- Examples include:
- Your search goals, preferences, motivations
- Roles you contribute or discuss
- Company insights
- Candidate-related information
- Messages and conversations
- For all role and company contributions, we confirm with you how you want them shared. All contributions are always anonymized before being added to our database.
4. Technical data: Device type, browser, IP address, and basic analytics.
How We Use Your Information
We use your information — including conversations with Sage — to:
- Operate and improve Whispered
- Provide personalized search recommendations
- Help surface relevant roles, insights, or opportunities
- Maintain account security
- Process payments
- Enforce our Confidentiality Policy
- Communicate updates about your membership and services
We do not sell your data. We do not use your conversations to train external AI models.
When We Share Information
With your explicit consent: For example, if you opt in to the Executive Directory or approve sending your profile to a recruiter or company.
With trusted service providers: Stripe, Google, and infrastructure partners who securely power our AI and platform.
Anonymized insights and contributions: Role and company contributions — whether given in the community or through Sage — are always anonymized, and we always confirm how you want them shared before adding them to our database.
When required by law: To comply with regulations or valid legal processes.
Your Rights
You can contact support@whispered.com to:
- Delete your personal data
- Request a copy of your data
- Opt out of marketing emails
Note: We do not delete or share copies of anonymized role or insight contributions, as these support the shared database and are integrated via AI.
Data Retention
We retain personal data only as long as necessary to operate the service or meet legal obligations.
- Community conversations are auto-deleted after 90 days
- Sage conversations are not auto-deleted after 90 days, but you may request their deletion at any time.
Security
We use industry-standard security measures to protect your data. While no system is perfectly secure, we work continuously to safeguard your information.
Changes to This Policy
We may update this policy as our services evolve. The “last updated” date reflects the newest version.
