Whispers remain confidential

Companies, recruiters, investors and executives all need confidentiality to "whisper" information.

Introduction

Confidentiality is the foundation of Whispered. Companies, recruiters, executives, investors, and operators share sensitive information with us — and with Sage, our AI career guide — because they trust it will stay private.

This policy explains how we protect roles, insights, candidate profiles, and everything shared inside Whispered or through Sage, our AI.

This policy covers confidential contributions and AI interactions — not personal data. For personal information (name, email, login, etc.), see our Privacy Policy.

What Counts as Confidential

Anything shared inside Whispered — whether with the community, the Whispered team, or with Sage — is confidential:

• Executive and leadership roles

• Company insights

• Search context, motivations, and private concerns

• Candidate profiles

• Backchannel information

• Private messages and discussions

We never publish confidential information publicly. We never attach identifying details to internal summaries or shared insights.

Confidentiality of AI (Sage) Interactions

Everything you share with Sage is confidential and protected the same way as community information:

• Not shared externally without your explicit approval

• Not attached to your identity

• Not used to train external AI systems

• Access restricted to authenticated members who have agreed to this policy

• Stored securely on encrypted infrastructure

Role Confidentiality

Roles are often highly sensitive. Whispered protects them by:

• Allowing any contributor to control how a role is shared:

  • Fully anonymous

  • Only with the Whispered team

  • Only with Whispered Pro members (default)

• Ensuring the identity of the contributor who shared the role information is confidential unless they include their name in the role details shared

• Requiring Google authentication for anyone accessing unposted roles

Company Insight Confidentiality

Company insights shared either in the community or through Sage are protected by:

• Contributor verification through Google login

• Never displaying or revealing who submitted a specific insight

• Sharing only anonymized, aggregated summaries

• Restricting access to authenticated members who have agreed to this policy

Candidate Confidentiality

Executives often search quietly while employed. Whispered protects them by:

• Never making candidate profiles public

• Allowing recruiters/talent partners to view profiles only if the executive opts into the Executive Directory

• Allowing companies posting a role to only see candidate identities if the candidate approves

• Treating search details shared with Sage as fully confidential

Member Commitments

Every Whispered member agrees to:

• Keep all roles, insights, and candidate information confidential

• Use shared information only for helping others, collaboration, or search

• Respect executives searching discreetly

• Not share they found information via Whispered.

Enforcement

Violating confidentiality results in immediate removal from Whispered. Whispered retains sole discretion in determining violations.
